Afrter weeks of heavy rain in Burma’s central Bago division, the water-level had reached waist height. Hundreds sheltered in monasteries as homes were wrecked and streets turned to rivers. The flooding has now subsided and life is returning to normal, but as these photos from Reuters’ journalist Soe Zeya Tun show, the damage may last way beyond the drying of the town.
