But that cleverness for them is follishness for us people, for simply being an unbalanced relatioaship (allowing economic imperialism for the preferred associates), the very basis of longivity for the junta, and so the continued loss of personal freedoms and equitable opportunities for all. The present weakness of Burmese economy, to me at any rate, will persist for a longer period of time by virtue of incompetency of economic management, and bribery and corruption rampant in the government aparatus (presumably prevalent after the election also). If this is bad for the junta, it should be an hard-earned opportunity for the people. What kind of opportunity?
