British Minister of State for International Development Desmond Swayne is set to arrive in Burma on 25 August for a three-day visit. The trip will include visits to health and microfinance sector stakeholders in Shwe Pyi and Hlaing Thayar Townships. Swayne will also travel to Myitkyina, Kachin State, where he will visit refugee camps and observe agricultural development projects. The minister is scheduled to travel to Naypyidaw to meet with politicians, and will also meet with opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
