One crew member is missing and presumed dead after a boat carrying aid was sucked into a whirlpool near Minbya.
At least four people have been confirmed dead and up to eight others are missing after a ferry capsized close to a whirlpool on the Chindwin River.
The boat, Aung Soe Moe Kyat, was carrying more than 300 people when she was spun by a whirlpool and capsized on Saturday.
